Bono’s Call to Action

Bono–not the late Sonny B or the flamboyant Cher but the U2 frontman icon–has an intriguing  op-ed in today’s NY Times. As millions of U2 fans know, this guy has a real brain, which makes him a show-biz rarity, and–this makes him even more unusual–he not only complains about the world’s myriad inequities and brutalities; he actually does something to combat these evils, knowing that mere  anger and fine  words will not feed starving kids or purify their polluted water.
