After two days of dishing out recommendations from a rich book-club history enjoyed over two decades, Santa’s feeling so darned generous he just can’t stop!
So, for all of you shopping for that bookworm in your lives (hint, hint), here are several of those year-end lists that always make us wonder why we waste so much time watching “24” and endless college football games instead of reading more.
Year’s Best from The Atlantic magazine here
The New York Times’ 10 Best Books of the Year here. (PS–Having reviewed Tree of Smoke myself for the Dallas Morning News, I don’t see how it makes a Top 10, but anyway. . .)
Finally, the Big One: The NYT’s 100 Notable Books of the Year here .
So there you go. If you can’t find a book for a buddy from this week’s blogging, you have very, very high standards indeed. Happy Reading!
