The Last Soldier to Die in Iraq

I’ve previously touted the great “Home Fires” series in the New York Times, wherein five returning Iraq vets write about their experiences in the war and their transitions back to American life.   The entry today  by Brian Turner, a poet and former infantry team leader, is a moving and disquieting work of imagination. Enjoy it  here.
